On The Beauty of Arabic..

The following is an excerpt from a poem by a man who preceded Romeo by a Thousand years, and he wasn't a fictional character, you can hear more of this poetry under "My Music", and Again, I thank Noura for introducing me to Ensemble Ibn Arabi, whose Music I'm hosting.

Who said The Desert of Arabia was barren??

  1. One of the best poems that I adore is the one written by EBEN ZAIDOUN, it talks about his lost love...

I hope It won't be like I crossed some lines here by writing the poem, but I really like it and couldn't stop myself from writing it down!!! You know something, it is said that who memorizes this poem will die a stranger, or his love will be lost,,, and let me tell you , I am kind of starting to belive that :D …
Hope you will like it :)

  3. There is nothing like Arabic..I can't imagine these words:
having the same effect in any other language..They would sound cold and restricted while now they are just like a colorful painting..
Beautiful choice of poetry and music, am assuming that those are your favorites from the CD..
You didn't have to thank me at all Ammar, the pleasure is all mine.. Am just glad you liked it..

  8. Hey Ammar, No my friend, I don't know it all by heart :D I had to bring the (Dewan) and type it down, but I have a friend who does, and she isn't lucky with love issues...

Nothing like dying with your love in your arms... I swear I can say that Death itself will be blessed...I mean, not all people can find love, it is hard...and just imagine dying with having yours to hold and take strength from... This is the ultimate bless...

This picture is so beautiful and clear, you can almost smell the grass..I wonder how it looks in the fall when the leaves start changing their colors ??
